“I can see that it is very hard for our father to serve not just as a father to us, but also as a mother, so I promised myself to study hard until I graduate and someday help lessen my father’s hardships,” says Jessa Domingo.

When Jessa’s parents separated, she and her three elder siblings were raised by their father. Her father works as a tricycle driver. He provides for all their family’s needs including their education.

Things became more difficult when her father was diagnosed with pulmonary edema. He frequently experienced trouble in breathing and had to nebulize, impairing him to work.

Worried, Jessa cling to God during troubled times, even though she was not sure if she could continue her college education. At the breach of losing hope, she found a way to reach her dreams when Operation Blessing partnered with their church and was chosen to be one of the Back-To-School scholars.

As a scholar, she receives educational support for all her school-related expenses, including school supplies and a tablet to help her cope with online learning classes.

“Operation Blessing (OB) is of great help to me. I am able to survive and continue my studies because of the support they are providing me. Without OB, I don’t know if I could continue schooling,” says Jessa thankfully.

Motivated by her love for her father and fueled by your support and generosity, Jessa continues her journey toward her dreams. She is now in her third year in college, taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology.

More than gaining new knowledge and skills, her faith in God also grows every day. She was assured God is her provider when she received a scholarship grant amid her father’s sickness.
