“Operation Blessing, you guys are truly a blessing from God!” —Webb Ampo, 61, beneficiary of Operation Blessing Mobile Clinic last April 20, 2022 in West Bicutan, Taguig

Webb is deeply grateful for being part of the mobile clinic in their area. “The cost of checkups in private hospitals is too expensive,” he says.

His income comes only from a meager monthly pension and mortgage from the couple of bedspaces he leases. It is barely enough to provide for him and his grandchild, 8-year-old Kyrel, whose parents are separated. Only Webb is there to take care of him.

Webb’s wife passed away last year due to cancer. The chemotherapy and medications also sapped their savings. “My little grandson is so dear to me. I want him to finish his studies so he can have a good future. I ask God to extend my life until my grandson finishes his studies,” Webb lovingly says as he appreciates this medical mission.

Webb initially wanted to have a tooth extraction. However, after having undergone vital signs checkup, he was found to have high blood pressure. It was not safe to have a dental extraction at the moment. He was given medicine to help regulate his blood pressure instead.

Without being asked for a thank you message, he said out of the overflowing gratefulness in his heart, “Operation Blessing, you guys are truly a blessing from God! Thank you for doing this program here in our barangay.”

Webb Ampo is just one of the more than a hundred beneficiaries of our mobile clinic medical mission in Taguig. It has been years since the last time health services was made available for them.
