“Malaking pasalamat naming nandito kayo, hindi naman namin kayang itakbo ang anak ko sa emergency dahil walang pera [Thank you so much for coming, we cannot afford to bring our son to  hospital because we lack money],” Joan Ignacio, 27.

As Joan walks home with her son, John Louie, she saw the ongoing medical mission of Operation Blessing Philippines, in partnership with JAC Liner, Inc. through the mobile clinic. She, with John Louie, hurriedly went inside the venue, registered and lined up for a medical check-up.

Weeks before the medical mission, Louie had a vehicular accident. “My cousin and I went on for a bicycle ride. I was on the backside when I suddenly slipped my feet off the bike’s peg and went inside the spoke! I could not take my feet out until someone came to help us.” Louie narrated.

After the incident, Joan took Louie at the community health center to have his wound checked and treated. However, after several weeks, his wound did not heal and had even worsened. Joan was already worried for the possible infection but due to lack of money, she was not able to bring Louie back to hospital for further treatment.

Inside the mobile clinic, the doctor checked on Louie’s wound and said that it was indeed infected. The doctor carefully cleansed the wound and showed Joan the proper way to do it for Louie. She was also given the correct prescription of medicines.

Joan and Louie entered the mobile clinic very tensed but stepped out relieved. They proceeded to the pharmacy to get the free medicines.

Now, Louie’s wound was treated and a possible severe infection was prevented, thanks to your support!
