How does Operation Blessing help those who are in need?

Operation Blessing extends help to those who are in need through a variety of programs:

  1. Healthcare – Operation provides a diverse range of medical services to individuals and communities considered as the “poorest of the poor” and that have little or no access to proper healthcare. These services are extended to them through:
  • Medical Mission
  • Medical Assistance
  • Wheelchair Distribution
  • Life Changing Surgery

  1. Disaster Response – Under the Disaster Response Program, Operation Blessing has a three-pronged approach:
  • disaster preparedness and management training,
  • relief goods distribution, and
  • recovery and rehabilitation.

One example of OB’s rehabilitation project after Typhoon Yolanda is the Community of Hope (COH) – a resettlement project in Tacloban that aims for a sustainable community through provision of housing and livelihood programs.

  1. Children’s Program – Operation Blessing develops programs that impart love and instill hope among the future generation.
  • Back-to-School (BTS)

BTS offers education sponsorships for indigent but deserving senior high and college students in the form of school fees, supplies, and uniforms.

  • Bless-a-Child (BAC)

Bless-a-Child project addresses the health needs of malnourished pre-school children through nutritionally balanced meals, monthly health care, and free education. Skills training and health education are also given to the parents.

  • Holiday of Hope and Cheer (HOHC)

This project imparts the true meaning of Christmas and Easter to orphans, indigent children, special children, children of missionaries, and dependents of soldiers from the Armed Forces of the Philippines. This is conducted through gift-giving, games, puppet shows, free meals, Bible storytelling, and Superbook film showing or event.
