Operation Blessing Disaster Response team and local volunteers continue providing food packs to another 100 crisis-affected families breaking the fast during Ramadhan, in Maria Cristina, Baloi in Lanao Del Norte today.

For two weeks now, Operation Blessing has been helping home-based displaced families from Marawi City.

One of them is the family of Norhata Magsa, 33. Until now, she cannot forget the situation when she and her family were in their house amid Marawi clash. They are now living in a relative’s house in Lanao Del Norte.

More than herself, she worries for her seven (7) young children, that the trauma caused by this war may affect them while they are growing up. Thankfully, she is glad to know that there are people who are willing to help them.

Aside from giving out food packs, Operation Blessing is conducting psychosocial activities for adults and children through its Listening Ministry and by giving loom bands and slippers.

Norhata’s family is only one of 100 families from the town of Maria Cristina.

To date, another 100 families from Balo-i will undergo Listening Ministry and will be given food packs for five days also.

Meanwhile, in the town of Pantar, 526 individuals received 3 kilos of rice each. Also in Brgy. Ditucalan, Iligan City, 218 individuals received hygiene kits (1 toothbrush, half dozen toothpaste in sachet, 1 bottle alcohol, 2 bath soaps, 1 face towel, half dozen shampoo in sachet) yesterday.

For our efforts in Mindanao, we are targeting to reach 1000 families and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
