Quietly engaged in play within the kinetic sand area of Kidzoona at SM North Edsa, Jann molded the sand into various forms. His mother, Anabelle, observed from a distance, filled with joy seeing her little boy enjoying the moment.

Anabelle revealed that initially, she hesitated to participate because she knew she could not afford to bring his child to a place like Kidzoona. She explained that their income, generated from crafting and selling doormat rugs, barely covers the essential needs of their family.

However, their pastor reassured Anabelle that the Christmas treat for the children was free.

“I saw how excited Jann was, right from the entrance. He gleefully ran and played on everything happily once granted entry into the playground. I see my son’s joy, and I feel so happy, too,” says Anabelle.

Jann enthusiastically explored the indoor playground alongside other children. They also relished party games, meals, and received a lot of Christmas gifts.

“I thank the Lord for initiatives like this. I hope more children can partake in such experiences, and many parents can also share the joy I am experiencing right now,” Anabelle added.

Kidzoona started partnering with Operation Blessing last year to bring hope and joy to children through its Holiday of Hope and Cheer Project held every December.

“It has been Kidzoona’s yearly commitment to give back to the community every December, in time for the Holidays, especially for those kids who are less fortunate,” says Kidzoona’s HRD Training Supervisor, Arianne Capacio.

This year, Kidzoona welcomes the children from community outreaches of Operation Blessing’s partners, My Children’s House of Hope Bahay Bata 127 and Church So Blessed, at its SM North and Robinsons Galleria branches.

Jann is just one of over a hundred children who had fun at the indoor playground alongside their parents.
