Michael Angelo Catli is a 30-year-old barangay councilor in Sta. Ana, Manila. With a deep desire to help his community, he reached out to Operation Blessing requesting a medical mission.
He initially expected medical, dental, and optical services for their community. But to his surprise, ECG and ultrasound services were also made available. This is through our partnership with RG Meditron, a family-owned distribution business of lab machines and equipment.
“I was happy to know that these laboratory tests are also available. The whole council and the elders of the community are also happy, especially those who feel pain in their abdomen,” Catli said.
“This is a huge help to the community. I am just a voice representing all of them. For two years, almost all the elders weren’t able to go to checkups and but medication for themselves, (especially that they belong to the low-income population). I am just pleasantly surprised that so many people helped our community,” he added.
The Operation Blessing Mobile Clinic Truck goes to areas within and outside NCR to cater to those most in need of medical services, and we are currently widening our network of partners in order to continue mobilizing our team to conduct projects like these.
