Also known as National School’s Maintenance Week, the Brigada Eskwela aims to bring together all the education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort and resources to prepare public school facilities ready for the opening of the school year this June.

“This is not simply (about) attendance but the message here is we are preparing the school for the future of the children. I think the private sector also touches the hearts of everyone that we are doing this for we value education,” Department of Education (DepEd) XI spokesperson Jenielito Atillo said.

Aside from the said activities, OB treated the 300 incoming students of the said school to a feeding program in the morning. It also conducted free medical check-up to 17 people and dental services to 41 individuals.
