Through the provision of education, coaching for the development of life skills and microenterprise activities, and addressing basic health and nutrition needs, Operation Blessing (OB) exemplifies Christian compassion and benevolence to the younger generation under its Children’s Programs. One of its projects includes Back-To-School (BTS) which offers education sponsorships for indigent but deserving senior high and college students in the form of school fees, supplies, and uniforms.

Sharing the same passion for the youth, Scale Solutions is a social impact and innovation social enterprise empowering the underserved through education, taking climate action, and protecting human rights.

Founder and CEO of Scale Solutions Carla Mumar shared how working on the ground as one of OB’s volunteers moved her to help others. “Operation Blessing was one of my first exposures to a faith-centered and multifaceted NGO. One of the most life-changing and impactful experiences I have had in my life was when I volunteered to be a part of a team to go to Tacloban right after Yolanda hit the city in 2013.”

“Seeing the terrified faces of the people who lost everything, and being a part of a team of hopeful, passionate, selfless people has shown me that OB is an extraordinary organization transforming the lives of Filipino families and communities. In my heart, I always knew helping underserved communities will always be a part of my mission,” Mumar added.

As part of its initiative to promote social responsibility, Scale Solutions agreed to work with OB to conduct a series of training and mentorship programs and explore partnering with providers of laptops and pocket WiFi’s for selected BTS scholars. “Our goal is to bring back hope and empower them to be future leaders and change-makers of our country,” shared Mumar.

Aside from that, Scale Solutions also offered to provide organizational development training for OB staff.

The partnership between Scale Solutions and Operation Blessing commenced on March 8, 2021, and will end on June 7, 2021.
