TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano promises to bring hope and joy to his fans all over the world on these two online concert dates as he celebrates 37 solid years in show business. Gary V will be streaming live from his own home tonight and Sunday, April 18 and 19, at 8:30 PM, to raise funds to support our frontliners and families severely affected by COVID19 through our campaign #OBAgainstCOVID19 and Shining Light Foundation.
Our active partner and volunteer, he has joined several dental and medical missions, wheelchair distribution, school supplies distribution, and wells turnover for our kababayans in provinces like Pampanga, Bicol, Iloilo, and Davao. His wife, Angeli Valenciano, is a member of our board of trustees.
Amidst this unprecedented crisis, Gary has been inspired as he witnessed the Filipinos’ can-do, “bayanihan” spirit – citizens and communities, companies, big and small, finding ways and means to stretch, to give, to lend a hand to the tens of millions in need. “Together, we’ll celebrate life and give thanks for all that’s been given, appreciate those who have helped in whatever way they can, all who have donated, and we’ll also give people a chance to give even more. It will be a night to rally for triumph, a night to spark hope,” Gary V told CNN in an interview on April 14, 2020.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, our team has provided much-needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to 60 private hospitals, in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bataan, Pampanga, Palawan, Iloilo, and Davao. We also distributed to more than a thousand preventive care kits and food packs to vulnerable individuals – patients, farmers, daily wage earners, delivery crew, local government personnel, indigenous groups, PWDs, street kids and homeless individuals who were greatly affected by the enhanced community quarantine.
