Like many success stories, Back-To-School scholar Monte Carlo Faustino was not without challenges. He encountered numerous obstacles, including financial constraints, limited educational resources, and personal setbacks. However, his passion and perseverance propelled him forward, turning every hurdle into an opportunity for growth and self-improvement.
For the past four years, Carlo’s academic journey has been made remarkable by being part of Operation Blessing’s Back-To-School, a project that provided financial assistance throughout his college education. This scholarship, in partnership with the Orphan’s Promise, proved invaluable, particularly during his teaching demo, where he showcased his skills and passion for education.
During the pandemic, when distance learning became the norm, Carlo was really grateful for the support he received from Back-To-School. “I am truly grateful for the foresight and generosity of the Operation Blessing donors. Aside from food relief, they provided us scholars with a tablet, ensuring that we could continue our studies despite the challenging circumstances,” he said.
Carlo’s determination was evident in every aspect of his life. He would diligently walk half an hour from their home in Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan, just to attend classes, all while managing to save his allowance to support his family’s daily needs.
Now, as he prepares for his graduation, Carlo holds deep gratitude in his heart for his aunt, Elsa Principe, who has been a steadfast source of support since his childhood. He wanted to honor her and express his heartfelt appreciation for the love and guidance she had given him.
“To Operation Blessing, words cannot fully express the depth of my gratitude for the impact you have had on my life. Your support has not only enabled me to fulfill my dreams but has also instilled in me a desire to make an impact in the lives of others. May God continue to bless you as you bless others!”
