OB Mobile Clinic continues to reach out to communities in and out of Metro Manila to make healthcare accessible to those who need it the most. Recently, we served a community in Pasay in partnership with the Church of God (COG).

One of the beneficiaries who came early is Carmen Florencio, a 68-year-old widow needing optical care.

“It has been almost a year since I lost my eyeglasses. I don’t remember if I lost them or if they were accidentally destroyed by my grandchildren. It has been difficult for me to read texts and signages, especially if they are small. I get dizzy trying to read them,” she said.

Due to financial constraints, she has not been able to replace her lost eyeglasses yet.

Thankfully, we have an optometrist on site who checked her eyes. We provided Carmen with a pair of reading glasses that will help her see better. We also gave her and the other beneficiaries copies of Our Daily Bread devotionals, hygiene products from Nivea, and vitamins. The local church partner also went the extra mile by giving the beneficiaries grocery packs.

It was extra special for Carmen because she will be celebrating her birthday this month, as if this medical mission was God’s special gift for her.

“Thank you so much for this blessing! This is truly a huge blessing, especially for those who are less fortunate. I am thankful to God for Operation Blessing.”

Through the continuous support of our faithful donors, volunteers, and local partners, we are able to make a difference in the lives of senior citizens and widows like Carmen.
