For Jennifer, eating and chewing food is extremely painful. She can’t even do simple household chores because of her toothache. In the past medical missions she’s been in, the dentists have always refused to extract her wisdom tooth seeing that it was a complex case.

This is the story of Jennifer, 46, a widow raising two children ages 17 and 15 who are both still studying. She also serves in church. Jennifer doesn’t have a job; all she depends on is her deceased husband’s pension that’s around Php 10,000 ($200) a month. This amount is barely enough to provide for their daily needs. Although, Jennifer testifies that “When we put God first in everything, especially in giving, we will see His blessings.”

She was one of the beneficiary patients when Operation Blessing came to Caloocan last May 19, 2022. As she was sitting on the dental chair, she prayed, “God, I surrender this burden to you. I know that You will make a way to help Doc Marissa to extract my tooth.” She was encouraged by the worship songs playing in the Mobile Clinic.

After years of suffering, when Operation Blessing Mobile Clinic came to Caloocan, finally, her pain-causing tooth was extracted! Tears of joy overflowed through her eyes as peace and relief overwhelmed her on the inside.

Jennifer waited a long time for her tooth to be extracted. “God answers our prayers at the right time, just like for this mission. I waited, and finally, God used this mission to answer my prayers. Once again, I see that God truly provides.”
