The needs of children and elders have become even more critical during this COVID-19 pandemic. And meeting those needs is key to preserving the elders’ well-being today and the children’s future potential.

Today, Operation Blessing partners with the 7th Civil Relations Group – Civil Relations Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the DLL-Sagad Offroad Volunteers to turnover vitamins, diapers, hygiene essentials, and assorted canned goods (donated by Century Pacific Food, Inc.) to foster care institution Hospicio de San Jose in Manila City. This is after a call for help had been sounded by concerned staff who admitted that the welfare institution has been struggling to keep its mission of caring for orphans, the homeless, and the elderly amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The relief distribution is part of Operation Blessing’s efforts for marginalized and disadvantaged individuals, including orphans, individuals with special needs, and the elderly, who remain vulnerable to contracting illnesses/viruses like COVID-19.

Being practically aware of the larger dangers that the virus poses among them, Operation Blessing continues to distribute hygiene kits and personal care products to different communities across the country.
