Operation Blessing Philippines’ Quezon City (QC) Fire Disaster Response efforts served a total of 3,190 individuals or 1,200 families specifically in Barangay Apolonio Samson in the municipality of Balintawak. The QC fire, which was believed to have been caused by firecrackers during the New Year’s Eve celebrations, affected more than 4,000 families, mostly informal settlers in the community. What should have been a time of festivity turned into a harrowing inferno killing three individuals and razing 200 homes.
