22-year-old Mark Allen Bernardo is the youngest of four siblings. His father works tirelessly as a jeepney driver to support their family. Aware of the sacrifices his parents had made for their education, Allen is filled with excitement at the prospect of donning his graduation gown and marching alongside his proud parents. He envisions a future where he can apply the knowledge he has acquired during his studies at Norzagaray College.
During his academic journey, Allen had the opportunity to undergo On-the-Job Training at a restaurant in Pasay City. The experience left an indelible impression on him, fueling his passion for the hospitality industry. With his upcoming graduation, he hopes to land a job at the same restaurant, eager to continue honing his skills and gaining practical experience.
Allen, though, has big aspirations for the future. “One of my plans, which is to work on a cruise ship or abroad, is driven by my desire to save money and gain global exposure,” he explained. But despite that, he remains grounded and devoted to his family. His priority is to provide support and assist with his family’s daily needs.
“I am very thankful for the role Operation Blessing has played in shaping my future. The assistance given to me has not only opened doors for me academically but has also allowed me to understand the wonderful plan that God has for my life.”
In sharing his testimony, Allen acknowledged that the support and guidance he received from Operation Blessing had instilled in him a sense of purpose and resilience.
Now, as Allen prepares to graduate, he eagerly anticipates the opportunities that lie ahead. However, he would never forget the generosity of Operation Blessing and its significant role in his journey.
