“I thank the Lord that I woke up early this morning and learned from a friend that there will be a medical mission here. He said though that a lot of people might come. Ready to take a chance, I said I’d go and check it out. I’d be grateful whether I will be served or not,” says Danilo.
Lanny Danilo Ponsaran is a tailor. He had a tailoring shop, but he had to give it up at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and strict quarantine measures. He now accepts tailoring job and sews at home.
Later, the 73-year-old tailor noticed his eyes are starting to blur. So, he took the chance to have his eyes checked at the optical area where Operation Blessing sets up its Mobile Clinic mission. He was then given reading glasses most suited for his need.
“Thank you because now, I can see clearly. I’m glad I took chances. It will help me work, too, ” says Danilo smiling.
He also received vitamins and free Our Daily Bread Devotional. He couldn’t stop smiling, even with his mask on.
Danilo is just one of the 121 kababayans in Cainta, Rizal whom OB’s Healthcare Team, medical volunteers, and local partners had served with free eyeglasses, medical check-up, tooth extraction, circumcision, and counseling services.
